Welcome to www.workthatworks.ca
This bi-monthly e-journal’s purpose is to draw attention to the role of

to our readers.
Did you know:

that 3 out of 5 new executives fail in new posts, within the first 90 days of taking a new job?
that 3 out of 5 new teachers will leave the profession in Ontario in the first five years?
leadership
structural weaknesses, legislative gaps and world economic dynamics
decision-making processes both in government and in corporations
comparative trends between the U.S and Canada
personal stories of healthy and unhealthy workplace cultures
workplace research
an Islander’s point of view with Tony Collins

If you have a story that needs to be told, about a wonderful, (or not so
wonderful) workplace experience, please send us a note (or call 1-866-511-4769)
and let’s talk.
Workers require advocacy, support not only of government laws, labour
organizations and sensitive employers, but also of their peers, in a labour
market which has seen significant erosion in meeting legitimate worker needs and
aspirations. This cannot be reduced to a worker rights, or a mental health
issue.
